Everyone knows the rom-com movie template: the curmudgeonly protagonist awakened by unlikely and elusive love. In this first-ever “choral rom-com,” a narrator character acts as the protagonist in a goofy and oddly self-aware rom-com, each scene of which is highlighted by a choral work that follows the story as it unfolds, complete with laugh-out-loud references to classic rom-com movies.
